The Downtown Festival & Art Show #Gainesville, FL is 10/13 & 14. Come see my glass work in booth 169! http://t.co/pyaCXfru #glassart

My work embodies an interest in mythological imagery, symbolism, and philosophies from historic and ancient cultures. I love to travel and I am intensely interested in ancient civilizations, symbols of ritual art, ancient myths and how they connect us, most deeply, with our own nature and our place in this world. The resulting glass, with primitive qualities and metaphors, are a visual re—presentation of the cycles of life. The archetypal images that emerge explore spirituality, existence, humor, love, magic, dualities and the beauty of life.
The City of Tampa has commissioned Susan to create a series of cast glass panels for THE ZACK STREET PROMENADE OF THE ARTS. Working in conjunction with Phil-Graham Booth Landscape Architects, the glass will be incorporated and surrounded in 9 foot tall wall greenery along the sidewalk.
This cast glass sculpture was installed in early 2012, created for All Faith's Unitarian Congregation of Fort Myers, Florida, and commissioned by the late Joe Kotler and wife Barbara Cameron.
Susan Gott, artist of Phoenix Glass Studio in Tampa created the hanging sculpture titled, “Spring Rain”; a public art commission of the City of Tampa. The sculpture is located at the Spring Hill Park Community Center in a urban neighborhood of North Central Tampa.
